About
Founder’s Story

Manojeet Bhattacharya is an entrepreneur, a scientist, an inventor, and a medical device technologist. He started his career as a Nuclear Astrophysicist in academia and then spent several years at government laboratories in space exploration and in nuclear energy. Since 2009 he has been developing and commercializing medical device technology for diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy, first as a Key Expert in the Molecular Imaging division of Siemens Healthineers, developing solutions for Cardiology, Oncology, and Theragnostics that are currently in clinical use, and since early 2020 as the founder of EmpNia a medical device startup. Having noticed the lack of a simple and effective motion management solution for delivering precision radiation therapy to all cancer patients, he embarked on a journey to develop and commercialize eMotus, an easy to use, universal, and cost-effective solution for respiratory motion management solution to enable precision imaging and therapy in every setting.
